The pictures of the end do seem a bit anti-climactic. There’s a gate barring the way. But really, from what I can see on the map, you can only drive a wee bit further even if the gate is open. Maybe half a kilometre.

But seriously, Caniapiscau is mind blowing. It was a perfect ending. I was satisfied. This is one of the few longer trips I’ve done that I can say this.

I enjoy that it ends at a gate. It’s as though to say: there is more. I may not be ready or able to experience it now, but someday, who knows. And I’m ok with that.
